File - GL Interface

If the Interface to GL field is set to Yes on the Config GL Interface screen, you need to setup a GL Interface master file containing a GL interface record for each supplier in the Supplier master file.

Use this option to maintain the GL Interface master file in MDS.

The individual records in the GL Interface master file are also known as "integration tables". They are used by Micronet to automatically transfer sales, stock and debtors’ information to the Micronet General Ledger system (MGL).

GL interface records create accounting journal entries (financial transactions) for every procedure within MDS, transferring those amounts to MGL in the format prescribed by the MGL Chart of Accounts. Basically, a GL interface record contains a series of GL account numbers for each procedure conducted in MDS.

GL interface records are secondary to the integration setup on the Config GL Interface screen.
